In March 2022 Marina Ovsyannikova, former Editor and International Producer for Channel One Russia, burst into a live News Broadcast with a sign reading ‘stop the war – they’re lying to you here’. In October last year, Christophe Deloire, Secretary General of Reporters Sans Frontieres helped Marina and her young daughter, flee from Russia. Christophe and Marina will discuss the protest, the escape, the situation in Russia today - and how RSF supports other journalists at risk, around the world. Christophe Deloire has been Secretary General of Reporters Sans Frontieres since 2012. He ran one of the leading French journalism schools, the CFJ, from 2008 to 2012, and prior to that an investigative reporter for the French news magazine Le Point. He has also worked for ARTE and TF1 and written several bestsellers. The aim of Reporters Sans Frontieres is to leave no breach of freedom of information unreported - working with a network of correspondents in 115 countries around the world.
