RAI’s Marina Sapia joins global view panel, looking at the challenge of interpreting different perspectives from different regions. Marina is international desk chief at RAI Tg1, the first news program in Italy. She previously led the international desk at RAI News 24, the all-news channel of RAI, where she had started as morning news anchor. In February this year she met in Kyiv president Zelensky for an exclusive TV interview. As a field reporter, she covered in-depth Sub-Saharan Africa and Sahel and the United States. She produced long form reports about the Us prison in Guantanamo and Niger. Before joining the Italian national TV, she worked for the Associated Press TV, covering Italy, the Vatican and Europe. Born and raised in Italy, Marina Sapia is MA at Perugia School of TV Journalism. She graduated in Mass Communication and African politics at the University of Bologna. She lived in Arusha, Tanzania, where shed developed a research project about Media Development in the Great Lakes region of Sub-Saharan Africa.
